Boot camps happen to support young women by accelerating their career in Software Development.
We promote ICT members’ role and responsibilities by empowering community in ICT skills in different areas of its application.
Who We are
Broadcasters of Information Communication and Technology (BICT) is a Non-Profit, Developer community of youths founded in 2016 by the University of Rwanda students in College Science and Technology to discover community challenges by providing ICT solutions toward the development of society through career opportunities and community services. Its main aim is empowering youths in digital world services and building citizens centered on technology.
BICT provides digital competence skills and nurturing innovation in Rwanda, we have a wide range of skills on new emerging technologies. This makes it critical for the Rwandan economies to have a knowledge-based economy with relevant digital skills. BICT also equips its members with what they need to cope with challenging work environment and gain new practical knowledge and working customs while developing professionally and personally and thus making it possible for them to be able to experience a profession in an area of interest to be used to create solutions for social problems.

I thank BICT for thinking problems of unbalanced gender in ICT activities and try to solve it in our campus using girl’s coding boot camp in order to make the equality among girls and boys in ICT. Through the boot camp I knew how to create and accessing data in database and how to design interfaces.

BICT improves my hope as girl in ICT so that I can do anything related to programming activities as my career. According to What I have learned in boot camp, I agree that girls has the opportunities and the power to do anything in order to participate in economic development of the country and develop themselves.
